One of the good things going on is that I can still do grocery shopping with Diana. I use the cane to get to our car. She drives to the grocery story of our choice, Schnucks, and then pulls close enough for me to get out. While I go into the store to get a motorized cart she parks in a handicapped parking space. We just got our handicap tag this week.
Once in the store I try to keep out of the way of other shoppers. Perhaps the most difficult area of the store is the dairy aisle. For a long time we have been aware of Cheese Paralysis. The store has an excellent selection of cheeses. It's so good, in fact, that people just stand there contemplating their choices. I guess that's a good thing.
Once we have navigated that we can cart the groceries to the car and return home.
Thanks, Diana, for giving us the tutorial! Craig, I really enjoy reading your blog! Glad you can do grocery shopping with Diana. We don't go to Schnucks, but the cheese display at shop n save can have the same effect!
ReplyDeleteThe problem I have with this type of communication is I do not know what the hell I am doing.
ReplyDeleteI would rather phone but my hearing is getting so bad that does not work as well as it use to.
The weather is cooling down, in the 80's and that is good because the A/C in my car is not working and it has been hard to find someone who knows what they are doing. Could take it to the dealer but would have to mortgage the house to pay for it.
Watched the Titans last night. Not bad.
I met Margo in the cheese department at Wild Oats. Have not cared for cheese since then. Just kidding. Going to the mountains next week-end to a reunion. I enjoy going "back home" for a few days. Visit yes live no.
I went through some old pictures looking for one of an old friend and found a lot of pictures you took of me while we were in Germany. I enjoyed that period in my life. Most of the people and the beer and travel.
If this is received I will have other ramblings. Fight hard live large. Tom
